This film is one
that
is apparently yet to be sold on video - and yet appears
to be in the greatest
demand. I do have a few scene captures that I can share,
however, my print is
a bit fuzzy - so they aren't the greatest picture quality.

In this film Maureen plays Julie Beck, a successful stage actress and John Payne is Bill, her adoring husband/director. Julie becomes ill and fears that if she does not survive that her husband will have no one. Bill worships Julie and has built his whole life around her. In an attempt to provide an heir and family, Julie cajoles her rather reluctant husband into adopting a little girl, Hiddy, whom she met on the beach. Hiddy was on a picnic with other children from an orphanage. As the plot unfolds both the child and her husband reconcile not only Julie's subsequent passing, but learn to love and depend on one another. A real tear-jerker.
