The Samhain Night

Deepening dark in ancient night skies
Gather round us as we wait,
For a time beyond this time,
A place beyond this place.
When all are one in one existence.
When all are nothing at all.
Samhain comes again to awaken us,
To prepare us for tomorrow,
To teach us of future mysteries
When veils between physical and ethereal
Move in whispered shadows,
Hinting of things yet to come.
Samhain comes again to bury us,
To remind us of our past,
That we might still learn from our mistakes.
That we may once again see events unfold,
And bring forward this knowledge
To guide us yet another day.
Fear not the darkness of what will occur.
Fear not the unknown or absence of light.
Walk into the mist and rejoice
To meet with ancestors and those not yet born.
For we will live, love, die, and live again.
And we will remember in the Samhain night.
