         Peppermint (Mentha piperita)

Okay, time for those Q-tips again. I do hope you are smelling and getting to know your oils. Well, what do you think? Hate it? Love it? Wanna it eat?

Safety information. Do not use on very young children (under 3) or on pregnant or nursing women. Also, keep away from homeopathic remedies, as it can antidote them.

        Ritual Use for Peppermint:

Parts uses: Fresh or Dried Leaves and Essential Oils

Uses: Peppermint is used for visualization, purification, concentration, to increase personal energy levels, for protection against psychic attacks

Some suggested uses: psychic attacks (not recommended for use at night as it’s a stimulating oil) or when working in hostile conditions, it’s ideal for use during waking hours, especially during trying ordeals such as in court, during a divorce, Child custody hearings etc.

Diffuse a drop or two in 1/2 half a cup of water, or make up a bottle using 2 drops of Peppermint per 15 mls of Carrier oil, and apply a drop to the middle of your forehead. This should last for several hours.

If you don’t want to apply it directly on your skin, make a pouch with peppermint leaves and when it gets stale refresh it with a drop or two of peppermint oil.

To purify the air of bad vibrations, fill a 2 pint spray bottle with water and add 10 drops of Peppermint oil. Shake and spray, while using a spell of banishment.

If You’d like, take your peppermint leaves and add a drop of Lemongrass to heighten the potency. You can also subtract some of the peppermint oil from the spray and substitute Lemongrass to make a more potent spray. The combination is quite heady! Avoid getting it on your skin.

Some practical uses for Peppermint acne, sunburn, blackheads, cools the skin, for respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, catarrh, colds, flu, fevers, flatulence, nausea, intestinal infections and parasites, menstrual cramp, mastitis, headaches, nervous stress, exhaustion, depression and for calming the mind.

Dosage: Okay, in a tub of water, in a diffuser or in a table spoon of carrier oil or cream, the dosage is 1 to 2 drops maximum.

And that’s lesson 5.  I hope you are enjoying this course.

        Bright Blessings
