The Dodge Camp #75 Camp projects
The Grenville M. Dodge Camp #75 is currently involved with the Iowa Battle Flag Preservation Committee in its effort to help save the Battle Flags of Iowa, before the flags are gone forever and the next generation of Iowa children will be unable to see them. So many of Iowa men fought under these flags and died in their attempt to defend them against Confederate forces while to destroy the Union.

Members of the Grenville M. Dodge Camp #75 marched in the 100th Anniversary of the Veterans Day Parade at the Iowa State Fair on August 18, 2000. At the First Veterans Parade at the Iowa State Fair, The Veterans of Grand Army Republic marched with honor . The members of the Dodge Camp want to honor those brave men who kept our nation as one during the War of Rebellion.

On March 09, 2000, The Grenville M. Dodge Camp #75 Dept. of Iowa, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War donated a plaque it reads Donated by the Grenville M. Dodge Camp #75 Dept. Iowa, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War." Brother John Brockway donated the picture and several members of the Dodge Camp donated the money for the frame and the plaque is mounted underneath the picture. The picture is located in the hallway going to V. A. Canteen at the V. A. Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The V. A. Hospital is located on 30th and Douglas.
On July 29, 2000, The Grenville M. Dodge Camp #75 Dept. of Iowa, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War was involved in the 125th Anniversary of Polk City. The Dodge Camp setup a Civil War campsite and showing different equipment that a soldier in the Union Army would had carried in Civil War. The members of the Dodge Camp talk about Iowa troops who were in the Civil War.

On March 28,2001, Past Camp Commander James Hawk joined in the drill with the 15th Volunteer Infantry at State Historical Building in Des Moines, Iowa. A demonstration to the public how men from Iowa trained for war during the War of the Rebellion.

Also on March 18, 2001, members of the Dodge Camp help out the 15th Iowa Volunteer Infantry in Living History Day at the State Historical Building, Past Department of Iowa Commander Merrill Anthony showed off his great grand father Civil War Letters and watch his Great- Grand Father wore during the war to public.

On April 20, 2001, The members of Grenville M. Dodge Camp#75 Dept. of Iowa, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War attended the Capital Rededication Ceremony of the State Capital.

On April 20, 2001, Members of the Grenville M. Dodge Camp# 75 restored a monument at Woodland Cemetery. The Ladies of the Grand Army of Republic General James Williamson placed a Flower Girl Monument to honor the Flower Girls who help decorated the graves of Union Soldier with flowers on the first Memorial Day in 1868.
