The Dodge Camp Restoring Woodland Cemetery
 

The Grenville M. Dodge Camp #75 has worked vigorously with the City of Des Moines to have the two siege mortars returned to their rightful place at Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa. Along with two artillery pieces at Glendale Cemetery also in Des Moines, Iowa.(Note; Two City Park Employees are pictured restalling the small siege mortars at Woodland Cemetery.)

Recently the Dodge Camp restored its first headstone of a Civil War Veterans buried at Woodland Cemetery in one of its two G.A.R. Plots.




 

Just before Memorial Day 2000, the Dodge Camp restored its second headstone at Woodland Cemetery.



 

On April 21 2001, The members of the Dodge Camp reset 12 Headstones at Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa. Also the members of the Dodge Camp placed grave markers and Amercian Flags on unmarked graves at Woodland Cemetery.
