My Kennel name Sedona came from a town in Arizona where I began my journey with the Siberians. I lived there for 10 years before moving on to Boise, Idaho. I got my first Siberian back in 1982.  I thought she was the most beautiful Siberian I had ever seen. Spirit was r/w open faced with blue eyes. Although Spirit  was bought as a family pet, I thought she was show quality, how could this puppy be anything else? I attended my first shows later as just an observer and well.....my beautiful puppy didn't look anything like the dogs in the ring they were absolutely beautiful, so I guess my puppy was a pet after all. I decided that I wanted to show, it looked like it would be fun. So I bred Spirit. I had no real mentor and didn't know you weren't suppose to breed a pet. And these puppies didn't look anything like what I had seen in the ring either. After a few trial and errors I decided I would buy from a breeder that I could get a nice show puppy from and that was Kathleen Kanzler and the bitch was Innisfree's Pandora "Panda" was a lovely bitch with great movement, and type. I only showed her a few times, Panda just did not enjoy the show ring..  So I decided to bred her. This breeding started my foundation line.Out of that litter it produced three b/w and 3 b/w pies. WOW what are these? I had never seen anything like this before. I ended up keeping one of the Pie males and named him Sedona's Against all Odds "Moose" that was in 1988, I lost Moose in 2000 and he is now at Rainbow Bridge.

I had several more disappointments in the show ring, pies were not popular back than. I was laughed at by other breeders, told to go to the Dalmatian ring, Judges would tease me in the ring about my pies, but that didn't stop me from showing my pies ( love those pies). I only succeed in putting a few points on Moose. Than another dog I had gotten ended up with cataracts just one disappointment after another. I was than diagnosed with a terminal liver disease and I was unsure of my future. So I decided to take a break from showing for awhile. In the mean time my husband lost his job and we ended up moving to Boise, Idaho where I met Colleen who is now a very good friend. She wanted to breed to my pie. Colleen was not concerned about markings but the quality of the dog. So the breeding took place. I decided to take a puppy instead of a stud fee. Out of that breeding it produced my first Champion and hers. CH. Voylaika's Rebel By Choice. I than bred Rebel to my pie bitch  Sedona's Painted Desert "Desi" who I had bought from Linda Longshore of FoxFire Siberians, USA. Out of that breeding I produced two Pie Champions, but the pie bitch that I kept, CH. Sedona's White Mischief "Lucky" would have to wait to see the show ring due to my failing health. "Lucky" did not start her show career until she was about 5 1/2 years old. In between that time my health was failing and "Lucky" was my therapy dog she kept me going though a very difficult time in my life.. I was told I would not would make it to my 40th birthday if I did not receive a liver transplant.. Three months before my 40th birthday I received a liver transplant in 1995. Shortly after my transplant my husband was transferred to Oregon where we now live in a small town in the mountains of Falls City, Oregon. Although it has not been a smooth ride, I'm back out showing..... and will continue to do so until God decides other wise. I have had many wonderful times with these beautiful energetic dogs that I have loved for the past 20 years. I have met a lot of wonderful people along the way. I have also had many disappointments but wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I lost Ch. Voylaika's Rebel By Choice on 9/11/02 he died of cancer. I will forever miss him, that was a very sad time. Rebel produced many champions and several pointed off spring. His legacy lives on in them.

On 10/02/03 My first pie Champion Ch. Sedona's White Mischief took Best Veteran is Sweeps and a 3rd in regular veterans. That was to exciting. Her brother Ch. Sedona's Kamchatka took 3rd in regular veteran class, also my bred by dog Sedona's The Guardian placed 4th, and another one of my bred by dogs Sedona's Duke of Hazard owned by Andrea Phillips made the cut in Open. Had a wonderful time and met a lot of new people.
