Typically, the collector will rotate with a shaft; wires in the collector travel through the shaft to carry electrical current. Live power is supplied to the brush assembly which then powers the collector ring and electrical wires in the ring.
A two ring assembly can provide 20 Amps per ring to power a power outlet. Multiple rings such as the seven ring collector assembly shown can provide multiple circuits. Different size rings are available to provide 15A to 150A per ring.
Most of our collector assemblies use internal wires to carry power up through a hollow shaft such as those used on our sign rotators pictured here.
Customer collectors can include machined cavity inside body of collector to allow you to run wiring outside solid shafts.
