THE EASTERN CARRIBEAN

To see the real pearls of the Caribbean...don't miss the Eastern Caribbean.

Come with us.  We want to show you historic San Juan and bustling St. Thomas.  We want to take you to a city with two European cultures, to colorful shops bursting with incredible bargains and to ruins rich with ancient mysteries.  In seven days, we intend to surpass even your highest expectations of the perfect Caribbean vacation.

Be sure to take your time exploring the elegant shops and historic narrow streets of Old San Juan.  At your next stop — St. Thomas, there are still more treasures to be discovered in the many shops of Charlotte Amalie.  But this popular island also boasts beaches, watersports, golf courses and easy access to the friendly nearby island of St. John.  Your last destination is half French, half Dutch St. Maarten, an island of fascinating contracts, distinctive Dutch architecture, superb restaurants and a great deal of European charm.

THE WESTERN CARRIBEAN

More than you imagined!

In seven days, we intend to surpass even your highest expectations of the perfect Caribbean vacation.

At your first destination, you can choose to spend a fascinating day touring the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum on the cliffs of Mexico's mainland or to immerse yourself in the seemingly endless modern pleasures of Cozumel's beaches, shops and cafes.  More sunny pleasures await in Grand Cayman, including the island's famed Seven Mile Beach and a visit to a town called Hell.  Your final fabulous island is Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where you can stroll through fragrant botanical gardens, visit a plantation, or climb 600 feet to the cool cascading waters of Dunn's River Falls.

Mexico's Magic Spell — When you visit Playa del Carmen/Cozumel, you'll see what makes Mexico's Yucatan so irresistible to fishermen, divers and vacationers from all over the world.  You'll be mesmerized by a visit to the ancient Mayan ruins on the cliffs of Tulum.  You'll be awed by the pristine beauty of every beach and diving site.  And you'll be amazed at how little it costs to take home quality Mexican art and handicrafts.

Seven is Your Lucky Number —  Because when you arrive in Grand Cayman, you can enjoy all the sunny pleasures of Seven Mile Beach.  You'll love lying on the soft sand, swimming in the refreshing water or diving down to the brilliantly colored world of a coral reef.

It's Where No One Sings the Blues —  There's music everywhere in joyful, jazzy New Orleans.  When you're not tapping your feet or clapping your hands in this happy town, it's because you're feasting on Creole cooking in the French Quarter or choosing an antique to take home with you.  You'll feel the rhythm of this city just by strolling through the narrow streets of the French Quarter, with its wrought-iron railings, famous restaurants and ragtime music.

THE SOUTHERN CARRIBEAN

The Caribbean with a touch of Europe.

In the Southern Caribbean, there are islands that have the flavor of France, England and the Netherlands, adding even more mystery and charm to their tropical settings.  On this seven day adventure, we'll take you to five captivating islands.  Each offers every experience you demand from the sunny Caribbean.  But don't be surprised if you suddenly get the feeling you're in Paris or London.

The Pearl of the Caribbean — San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a cosmopolitan city boasting wide boulevards and narrow cobblestone streets.  It's as proud of its museums as it is of its many fine shops and galleries.

Decisions.  Decisions — In St. Thomas there are dozens of great bargains to be had in the colorful shops of Charlotte Amalie.  But there's also world-famous sailing, deep sea fishing and snorkeling.  And don't miss the golf, tennis and sightseeing.

Two Islands in One — Guadeloupe is two islands.  Basse-Terre has volcanic peaks and a mountainous coast.  Grand-Terre, the more popular island, has wonderful beaches and excellent shopping.  Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe's second largest city, calls itself the "Paris of the Antilles."

Bubbling with Excitement — St. Lucia is most famous for its two forested mountains, the Pitons.  But it also thrills visitors with its lush rain forests, magnificent coastline and black sand beaches.

An Unforgettable Stroll — The port of St. George's in Greneda, with its red tile roofs and lush greenery, is one of the most picturesque harbors in the Caribbean.  The architecture, a blend of French colonial, British Georgian and West Indian, gives this island a style all its own.

Steeped in History — Plan a full day of sightseeing in historic Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.  Don't miss the Columbus Lighthouse, San Francisco Monastery and the beautiful tropical beaches.

THE SOUTHERN CARRIBEAN

More islands, more beauty, more fun on another Southern Caribbean cruise.

Waterford Crystal.  Crystal Clear Water — In St. Thomas, you can get lost in the many shops of Charlotte Amalie.  You can also go browsing under the sea, among some of the world's most brilliantly colored fish.

Dutch Chocolate and French Perfume — The half French, half Dutch island of St. Maarten impresses with its architecture, colorful streets and fine shops boasting imports both incredible and edible.

A River for Every Day — It's true!  Dominica in the West Indies has 365 rivers that cascade down the island's three mountain ranges to create settings like the Emerald Pool Grotto.

The Accent is on Beauty — The very French island of Martinique offers the serenity of secluded beaches and uncrowded dive sights.  There's excellent shopping and sightseeing in the capital.  Fort-de-France.

One Lump or Two? — In Barbados, high tea is one of the many British traditions.  Cricket is another.  The subterranean stream passages of Harrison's Cave are among the island's many attractions.

ALASKA

The wonders of the last frontier.

More Excitement.  More Adventure.  More Alaska.  As you glide through a majestic landscape of snow-capped mountains and sparkling waterfalls, you're warmed by the spring or summer sun.  You pass dense forests of dark green pines, meadows of multicolored wildflowers and dazzling white glaciers with deep blue shadows.  Swimming beside the ship are playful humpback whales and frolicking sea lions with lustrous eyes.  Stand quietly and you may hear the distant crashing of calving glaciers or the nearby cry of an eagle.  Inhale deeply of the crisp, clean air and you will feel that you are discovering breathing for the first time.  This is Alaska, one of the most naturally beautiful places on earth.

On your 7 day northbound or southbound cruise along the Gulf of Alaska, you'll experience all the beauty of the Last Frontier in sublime comfort.  You will cruise the inside passage.  Enjoy stops such as Ketchikan, Juneau, Valdez, Skagway.  And of course, you will cruise Prince William Sound and The Lynn Canal.  You will soon understand why experienced cruisers repeat this cruise year after year.

ALASKA CRUISE TOURS

More excitement, adventure and fun.

Travel Deeper into the Last Frontier — To see even more of Alaska's wonders, add a 3 or 4 night land tour to your 7 day "Fun Ship" cruise.  With a 10 or 11 night Cruise Tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit some of the most popular inland attractions of this endlessly fascinating state.  All of the following pleasures can be experienced before your southbound or after your northbound Glacier Route Cruise.  Adding these days to your vacation is a decision you'll always take pride in.

The Largest State's Largest City — Anchorage, nestled between the Alaska Range and the Chugach Mountains, offers many sightseeing delights.  Among them are the fascinating dioramas of the Museum of History and Art and a visit to Lakes Spenard and Hood, the busiest seaplane base in the world.  At Ship Creek Salmon Overlook, watch spawning salmon head upstream.

The Height of Excitement — In Denali National Park, you'll have the thrill of seeing North America's tallest peak, Mt. McKinley (20,030 feet).  What else might you see in this 6-million-ace wonderland of forests, mountains and rivers?  Caribou, moose, grizzly bears and golden eagles.  The 3-hour guided Natural History Tour is sure to be a highly of your visit.

Riding the Rails in Style — When traveling to or from Denali, Carnival guests enjoy the luxury of the McKinley Explorer, a full-domed private railcar.  While you savor brunch or dinner, you can also feast on the scenery through huge panoramic windows.

Come to Fairbanks and Pan for Gold — If your Cruise Tour includes Fairbanks, Alaska's second largest city, then bring some frontier spirit.  Because you'll view historical exhibits during a gold mining tour, and can even try your luck at panning for the precious metal of which dreams are made.

Once you have decided where you would like to visit, your next decision is when?  The winter months of January, February, March and April are most popular and are referred to as "peak season."  June, July and August, as well as major holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas are also "peak season."  Whenever you choose to take your Caribbean cruise, the weather is always warm and welcoming!

There are cruise ships to suit everyone, from small intimate vessels to huge superliners.  Each ship offers everything from beautiful restaurants, casinos, great entertainment, night clubs, spa and gym facilities, to children's programs.  Your choice will depend upon your taste and your budget.
