Changing the role of the Media Specialist and of the Media Center at OMS

Observation of well-
integrated media center programs; keeping abreast 
of technological, and pedagogical changes in the 
field of education through active participation in a COP, participating in appropriate LlistServes and reading 
current research papers and other related publications.

Become an active member 
of the curriculum teams; strengthen the understanding 
of subject area content, by assisting staff in choosing 
and integrating curriculum based software for a wide spectrum of educational technologies (computers, CD-ROM players, etc.)

Taking online courses in troubleshooting and 
technology integration; 
practice technology skills 
learned in all of my
 masters classes
