Teen Hoopla

A wonderful site for teens, developed by the Young Adult Library Services Association a division of the American Library Association).  Includes a book review site, a Current Forum site (when teens can read and comment on the current and past topics the forum has presented, as well as a comprehensive Alphabetized list of other links for teens.

Berit's Best Sites

A directory of carefully reviewed sites for kids.  Includes a site for parents.

Ask Jeeves for Kids

This is a children's version the search engine that allows users to ask real questions (using natural language) and find sites with the answers.

Yahooligans

Good place for kids to start their searches.  The sites are selected by the YAHOO Inc. staff.

KidsClick!

This database of over 61,000 sites was compiled by Librarians especially for kids.

ThinkQuest Library

Developed by the Family Education Network, a wonderful site for students as well as teachers.

Scholastic's Resource Finder

This site contains thousands of excellent web sites found by teachers in all subject areas for students in grades K-8.

Awesome Library

This is a comprehensive site with over 14,000 carefully reviewed resources.

Inkspot's Resources for Young Writers

This is a great resource for writers of all ages.  The web pages directed toward young writers include feature articles with advice about writing and publishing, interviews with writers, references to other useful web sites and suggestions of both paying and nonpaying publishers to whom writing can be submitted.

The Kids on the Web

This site offer lots of "stuff" for and about kids. It includes homework help; Pen Pals; stuff to play with and sites specifically geared toward Teens and one for adults.
