ET CORNER
Happy summer! It's that time of year when the warm weather can play havoc with your pouch wear time. The heat, increased perspiration and oil production by the skin can loosen the adhesive in your appliance. You may find that your wear time may need to be adjusted, decreasing by a day or two. Swimming is a wonderful summer activity. Plan ahead with a freshly placed appliance, adding a special water proof tape to the wafer edge or prep over the wafer edge and skin. Pink or Hy-tape are two brands of water proof tapes that are skin friendly. Don't leave your travel pouches in a hot car. They need to be kept cool to prevent damage to the wafer or plastic. Drink more than other times of the year to keep well hydrated and enjoy your summer.
