My FISHBURN family line begins with my paternal grandmother, Caroline E. FISHBURN, born 13 October 1849 in Derry Twp., Dauphin Co, Pennsylvania. The presently defined family line goes back to Hans FISCHBORN born 1570 in Germany. My migrating FISHBURN ancestor was Johann Philipp FISHBURN (Philip the Pioneer), born 7 May 1722 in Planig, Hessdarmstadt, Germany, who came to Lancaster Co., PA (now Dauphin Co.) in 1754. I am tenth generation from Hans.
For a pedigree chart beginning with Caroline E. FISHBURN, including GREINERS and other associated family lines, look at Ancestor Chart of Caroline E. FISHBURN (YINGST).
This Family Line, along with other FISHBURN information is covered in THE FISHBURNS, Revised Edition 1992, by John E. FISHBURN, Sunriver, Oregon. This book was published as a Limited Edition of 130 copies and was distributed gratis to family members and certain other interested individuals and institutions. I was forturnate in receiving Copy No. 80, as a family member. The book has been microfilmed and is available from any LDS Family History Center on Microfilm 1698055, Item 2.
I have scanned pages from the book as listed in the table that follows and placed them on my Web Site. Only historical and informational information is presented. I have not included any of the family charts that accompany the pages; instead, I have provided family data from my PAF 5.0 Database to show the continuity from Hans, the progenitor, down to me. Additional family information for my immediate family line that is not covered in the book, is included , based on my own research. The pages are presented strictly as an aid to persons researching my family line.
Please obtain LDS Microfilm No. 1698055 to get full benefit from the book.
The book presents family information and or discussions for FISHBURNS in England and Australia, as well as Germany where my family line originated. It also includes chapter about the GREINERS that are associated with my FISHBURNS. I have included the Contents page from the book to show the full range of subjects covered. Also, I have included the Bibliography as a possible aid to FISHBURN researchers.
