Description: They look like tinted goggles at first but upon closer inspection people are able to tell that they are some type of symbiotic organism growing over the host's eyes. They vary in appearance from one symbiote to the next some barely cover the eyes while others are very large and give the host the appearance of having large bug eyes or wearing large goggles. Color seems to be totally random but the "eye" part is always black.
Host Type: Humanoids and intelligent beings of all kinds including natural M.D.C.tm creatures, except creatures of magic and the supernatural.
Host Environment They start as spores which float in the air until they come into contact with a host's visual organs. They then make their way to the back of the hosts eye and begin devouring it and replacing it with itself. One it has replaced one eye it begins on the other.
Hit points: They have 25 M.D.C.tm which they share with the host once they are fully grown.
Average life span: indefinite as spores, but becomes equal to the host's life span once linked.
Alignment: Effectively anarchist, low/animal I.Q., driven by an animal instinct to survive.
Attributes: Not Applicable
Reproduction: Release 6D6 spores once every four years.
Cost: 5-8 million credits

Natural Abilities: Range of normal vision is doubled and has night vision at the same range as long as there is even the smallest amount of light. Host can also see in the infrared spectrum, see aura, see the invisible, range for all three is 3000ft.. In addition the host is not effected by bright lights, sudden flashes of light or glare. +4 save vs. Illusions, +2 to initiative and +10% to detect concealment and detect ambush skills.

Side Effects: At first they cause only minor irritation to the eye and make the hosts vision a little blurry (-1 strike/parry/dodge, -5% on skills requiring vision) lasts 2D4 days. At this time the hosts begins to suffer from painful headaches and goes blind in one eye ( -5 strike/parry/dodge, -20% on all skills requiring vision) lasts 1D4 days. At the end of this period the Symbiote has devoured so much of the eye that it is now visible. Within the next day or two it will begin to attack and replace the other other eye (same penalties as before). Once both eyes have become covered the player is completely blind and still has the painful headaches (-12 strike/parry/dodge, and is incapable of preforming any skill which requires vision) last 2D4 days. Typically two days after the Symbiote has devoured both eyes the host will be able to see once again and with his new visual capabilities. In addition the host loses 1D4 points of P.B., 2 points of I.Q. and all their P.P.E./I.S.P.tm. Host (intelligent creatures only) also develops two phobia's. (Optional - since this symbiote causes quite a bit of pain when taking hold game masters may choose to have player characters role for one or possibly two insanities.)
Means of Elimination They can be removed by surgery but the host will lose one or both eyes plus 1 point of P.B. due to scarring and 1D4 points of I.Q. because they become attached to the brain as well as they eyes.
