Extra Information for use
with any Palladium RPGs
Fencing
This skill improves hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Add +1 to P.P.,
+2 to
Parry,
+1D4 to Speed, and +3 to Strike to either W.P. Short Sword or W.P. Long
Sword
per every other level (i.e. 1, 3, 5, etc.). Note: You can
add the Strike bonus
to
both W.P.s by taking this skill twice. Your other bonuses, however, remain
the
same.
Miming
& Mimicry
This composite skill allows characters to communicate without words and
also
enhances
physical coordination and agility. Bonuses: Add +5% to Special Forces
Sign
Language and any other Language involving hand signals, +10% to Disguise
skill,
and +2 to P.P. and M.A. Note: This skill can be taken at the cost
of one
physical
skill. Base Skill: 45% + 3% per Level.
Holding
Your Breath
The length of time during which a character can hold his/her breath while
moving
slowly or remaining still equals: P.E. x 10 (in seconds). When the character
is
more active (or out of shape), the time is halved. If the character is
out of shape
and
active, the time is divided by four.
Glancing Blows and
Exits
If the aggressor is using a modern weapon and the difference between his
successful Strike
roll and his opponent's failed Dodge is 3 or less, the attack
becomes a Glancing
Blow. A Glancing Blow does 75% damage + 5 points per
melee for 1D6 melees.
However, if the difference between the aggressor's Strike and the opponent's
failed Dodge is 8
or more, the projectile not only hits the opponent, it also exits his
body, doing 50% more
damage + 1 point of residual damage per die used (ex. a
5D6 bullet does 5
points of residual damage per melee) until the character receives
medical attention.
Designer Vehicles
(This would go between Specialty Vehicles and Unlimited Vehicles
in NS)
Any existing vehicle is available, including rare and expensive models.
Each
agent's car may have
up to $2,000,000 worth of modifications.
Agency Cost: 40 Points
Skill Cost Reduction (NS)
This option allows you to reduce the time your PC has to spend in studying
a
martial art form by
trading in some of your initial secondary skills one-for-one for
years off of the Skill
Cost of that form. This implies that you spent the time it
would have taken to
learn that/those skill(s) practicing your form. You cannot,
however, reduce your
martial art form's Skill Cost to less than half the usual (i.e. if
you have a form that
usually takes 10 years to study, you can only reduce the time
to 5 years using Skill
Cost Reduction). Remember that every form, even HtH forms
(Basic, Expert, etc.),
takes at least one year to study.
