The designs for this revolutionary aircraft were actually stumbled upon by a Coaltion recon team exploring Ontario. After careful examination by Coalition technicians, it was discovered that the twin-engine plane could achieve speeds higher than that of even the Death's Head Transport using 20th-century technology. Swapping out old parts for new, the Coalition was able to put forth a machine that could almost match the Naruni Crescent Moon manoeuvre for manoeuvre. The integration of the Arrow into the Coalition military coincided with the inception of the Royal Coalition Air Force.

The skies of the 1950's were afraid of the Arrow, but in the 2390's, they have every reason to be.

Model Type: AVR-00
Class: Attack Jet
Crew: One
M.D.C.tm by Location:

*Main Body -- 350
*Wings (2) -- 175 each
*Engines (2) -- 200 each
Nose Particle Beams (4) -- 85 each
Weapon Pods (2) -- 75 each
Medium Range Missile Clusters (2) -- 50 each

*Depleting one of these will cause the plane to go down, pilot roll at -30% for crash landing.

Speed:

Flight: The sophisticated jet propulsion system and the Arrow's profile make flight at mach 4.5 possible. There is an overburn mode which can be thrown on for a maximum of 2 minutes which will increase the speed of the Arrow to above escape velocity -- roughly mach 5.0. However, this makes the plane harder to control (no manoeuvring bonuses.) With the burners, there is no ceiling, otherwise, the plane has a max altitude of 60 000 feet.
Maximum Range: The engine design and coolant gives the Arrow an unlimited flight range.

Statistical Data:

Height: 12 feet
Width: 35 feet
Length: 50 feet
Weight: 10 tons
Cargo: Minimal -- there is enough storage space behind the seat for the pilot's personal/survival items and a weapon.
Power System: Twin nuclear engines; 20-year life.
Black Market Cost: None are available on the black market.

Sensors and Optics

The Arrow possesses state-of-the-art sensory equipment, similar (well, identical, but with CS tags) to the Titan Recon's systems.

Weapon Systems

1. Nose Particle Beams (4): These are the Arrow's main weapons, and they are quite powerful.

2. Medium-Range Missile Clusters (2): Each cluster is located at the tip of the Arrow's wings.

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Aircraft
    Secondary Purpose: Anti-Armour
    Mega-Damage: Variable
Rate of Fire: The missiles can be launched individually, or in any number up to 6.
    Effective Range: Variable
Payload: 3 per cluster; 6 total

3. Weapon Pods (2): The remainder of the Arrow's weapon systems are modular. A weapon pod is mounted on the underside of each wing. They can be mixed and matched in any combination imaginable. Pods of a feather can be fired simultaneously.

Type I -- Particle Beams: These are identical to the beams already mounted on the nose of the plane. They can be fired along with the nose beams to cause additional damage.

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Aircraft
    Secondary Purpose: Ground Assault
    Mega-Damage: 1D4x10
Rate of Fire: Equal to the pilot's number of attacks.
    Effective Range: 4000 feet
    Payload: Unlimited

Type II -- Vulcan Lasers: Similar to the IH-44L mounted on the Iron Hammer Tank, these six-barreled low-power lasers have an extremely high rate of fire.

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Aircraft
    Secondary Purpose: Ground Assault
    Mega-Damage: 2D4x10 per burst
Rate of Fire: Equal to the pilot's number of attacks.
    Effective Range: 4000 feet
    Payload: Unlimited

Type III -- Laser Cannons: These are high-powered lasers identical to the one mounted on the Nightwing Attack plane.

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Aircraft
    Secondary Purpose: Ground Assault
    Mega-Damage: 2D4x10
Rate of Fire: Equal to the pilot's number of attacks.
    Effective Range: 6000 feet
    Payload: Unlimited

Type IV -- Cannons: Like the weapons on the tanks of yore, these are powerful cannons which fire HEAT shells. There is some kick from these weapons, but it is effectively nullified by a recoil-suppression system.

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Armour
    Secondary Purpose: Anti-Aircraft
    Mega-Damage: 4D4x10 to a 6-foot radius
Rate of Fire: 2 shots per melee
    Effective Range: 6000 feet
Payload: 10 rounds per pod -- ammunition is pod-specific, and cannot be shared across several cannons.

Type V -- Mini-Missiles: The arrow can perform pseudo-bombing runs and strafing with these pods attatched.

    Primary Purpose: Ground Assault
    Secondary Purpose: Anti-Armour
    Mega-Damage: Variable
Rate of Fire: The missiles can be launched individually, or in any number up to the total number of mini-missiles (this means that missiles can be launched from several pods simultaneously.)
    Effective Range: Variable
    Payload: 9 missiles per pod.

Type VI -- Medium-Range Missiles: Guided missiles. 'Nuff said?

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Aircraft
    Secondary Purpose: Anti-Armour
    Mega-Damage: Variable
Rate of Fire: The missiles can be launched individually, or in any number up to the total number of mid-range missiles (this means that missiles can be launched from several pods simultaneously.) The missiles from the clusters can also be launched in conjunction.
    Effective Range: Variable
    Payload: 3 missiles per pod.

Type VII -- Short-Range Torpedoes: Special anti-armour missiles can be mounted on the wings as well. They are quite powerful, and are meant to be used against slower or stationary targets, such as fortifications, dragons, large bots, etc. Only two of these pods may be mounted on an Arrow.

    Primary Purpose: Anti-Armour
    Secondary Purpose: Assault
    Mega-Damage: 2D4x100 to a 15-foot radius
Rate of Fire: The torpedoes can only be launched individually.
    Effective Range: 1 mile
    Payload: 1 per pod.
