Mark U5 Robot Disabling Unit The Mark U5 is simplicity in itself. Shaped much like your average short range missile the Mark U5 is built to be fired from the standard launcher. However there is nothing standard about it. When it fires several small spikes are forced out of its housing. These barbed spikes lock into place. It hits the craft locking in and the force activates a cutting laser. This laser burns until it's charge runs out. When the charge runs out it triggers a spring mechanism ejecting a canister into the robot. Canisters cost extra and can be filled with almost anything. Finally a small charge goes off destroying the missile. Can be identified by the tell-tale screaming sound it makes as air blows through the nose to push out the barbs. Damage: Cuts through a foot of armor per round, max 5 ft. Range: 3/4 standard mini-missile range Canisters: Tear Gas Knockout Gas Explosive Flash Bomb Smoke Empty Uses: very useful for geurilla warfare, preemptive strikes, and assaults. limited use for defense largely due to the delayed effect. Problems: The MarkU5 is more useful against personel carriers. to strike a robot you are at -4 to hit the pilot compartment if you are familiar with the robot. If not you have a percentage chance to hit it (GM's discretion recommended 25% on normal shot, 45% if character aimed for general area of pilots compartment ex. belly) There are no penalties for vehicles with large compartments.(90% to strike compartment)
