Objective:
To
find employment within an environment that allows for growth and opportunity so
that I may improve upon my skills and experience enabling me to benefit both
myself and my employer.
Work Experience:
Helpdesk Technician: Worked as a
help desk technician for a total of 3 years for companies such as American
Express and Ajilon. Duties where to
assist customers who call with installation and/or system related
problems. Often both Windows and DOS operating
system (OS) level assistance was necessary.
As this usually involved proprietary software, my job often included
compatibility issues as well as standard diagnostics and custom configurations.
Bench Technician: Having worked as a bench technician for a total of over
20 years for
Field Administrator: Working for more than a year for UHaul, I had the
pleasure of maintaining the on-site networks and WAN connections for the UHaul
owned sites in AZ. Responsible for
covering 26 stores, my daily pursuits included preventive maintenance, repair
and upgrade of components, maintenance and setup of all LAN PCs in a Peer to
Peer environment using a main file server with the remaining units serving as
Clients on the network. The WAN, which ranged
from Satellite, DSL, Cable to Frame Relay connections, was also within my
necessary duties of maintenance and repair as well as the initial
installations. COX Cable, SpeakEasy and
Qwest where the two most common broadband connections used. Although I am not yet A+ Certified, I will be
registering for the CompTIA A+ Certification Exam as soon as current
circumstances permit.
Programming: As a Field
Administrator and PC Technician it has been my privilege to, from time to time,
exercise my abilities in BASIC, Visual Basic 6.0, Turbo Pascal 6.0,
Operating System Management: In
all of the above mentioned experiences, I have had the pleasure of mastering a
variety of operating systems (OSes). They
include: DOS versions 3.0, 3...2, 4.0 and 5.0.
I have extensive knowledge and experience in all of the following
Windows (OSes): Windows 95/NT/98/98SE/Me/2000/XP
(Pro and Home). Also included in the
list of known (OSes) is the 2.01 version of Linux. I have worked with MVS systems using JCL in a
limited capacity as well.
Personal requirements include a benefits package that is comparable to most
other positions within the industry and $25,000-32,000 annual salary (or
equivalent pay) for 60-65 hours a week with more weekly hours being worked
whenever necessary to get a job done.
In closing I
