Serenity

The moon forever lights the night
Hanging low for the tranquile sight
As the quiet flows with the wind
You wonder how life can be so grim.

You lost your brother today
The sadness you can't explain
As you take in the beauty of the night
It doesn't make sense, it can't be right.

This peaceful quiet, some call "Serenity"
With death in the balance of the day,
I strive to hold the peaceful beauty
In respect for your brother on his dying day.

I feel a warmth penetrating my soul
It's as if he were here, just to let me know
That you and I will remain forever with him
In this "Serenity"--To you my friend from him.
