Born with an inability to
say no to editors, Chryss Cada writes for a dizzying variety of
publications. As a freelance journalist
she has covered breaking news and regional trends for the Boston
Globe, The Denver Post and several regional publications. As a contributor to national magazines
she investigates topics that matter to women and parents. Prior to her
reincarnation as a bathrobe-clad freelancer seven years ago, Cada worked for
daily newspapers for almost a decade. But the love of this 39
year-old writer’s life is first-person writing. The love affair with her
readers began in 1993 while she was a staff writer at the Fort
Collins Coloradoan. Gannett News Service picked up her column and distributed it nationwide
for four years until Chryss took her voice and headed out on her own. Since
then her columns and essays have appeared in publications ranging from ePregnancy
Magazine to The
Washington Post to Fox.com. “A good column is not so much a single voice as an echo of like-minded
people,” writes Cada. “Our beliefs, our backgrounds, the way we see the
world, our choice in hairstyle—each of us has a difference. “My message has always been ‘That’s a beautiful thing’.” |
