Children i. Daniel MacNeil TERHUNE Carpenter. (b 1811 in Walton d. after 1871 but before 1881) marr 18 Nov 1833 in Walton by Rev. W. Temple to Hannah BROWN (b. 1814 d. 1884). Hannah's parents John Brown (1787-) and Lydia Sanford (1792-). John Brown's parents were John Brown (1756-) and Hannah Wilcox (1758-). The Rawdon Town Meeting book, Nov. 1847 mentions a Daniel TERHUNE Sr.(2). In 1838 D. Terhune had a wife , 2 girls and one boy under 6. The boy would be Thaddeus below. -Adelia TERHUNE marr ca 1868 Frank F. BROWN son of John Brown (1816-1869) and Olivia (nee?) (1818-1904). John's sister, Hannah, marr.(Adelia's father??) Daniel Terhune. John & Hannah parents John Brown (1787-) and Lydia Sanford (1792-). They had three children surname BROWN; Sophia, Cassie Reed, Jerinett. (13). I have no proof that Adelia is Daniel's daughter other than the name of her daughter ...Sophia (Adelia's gmother). -Thaddeus Terhune (b. 1837 -) marr 1.? Mary Elizabeth McLELLAN (b. 1837 d. 7 Aug. 1864 age 27) dau. of Allen and Elizabeth (Eliza) Parker McLELLAN bur. Parker Family Cemetery, Whale Creek, Walton, N.S. 2. Adelia Terhune (b. 1861 St. Croix NS) Mary Terhune (b.1863 St. Croix d. 1899 Brookville. bur. Parker Cem.) marr. 2? Mary Ester BROWN (b.1837 d. 3 June1867 at Ellerhouse, NS) dau of Joseph BROWN and Amy Emma NEIL Joseph's parents were Malcome BROWN and Sara (Love) CLARK(e). "Thaddens Trehune" was listed as a carpenter in the 1871 Ellershausen list. --Smith TERHUNE (b. 1867 Walton) marr. in 1888, Bessie GREENBUGH (b. 1870 Kempt). parents Daniel Greenough & Sarah (spelling of "Greenbugh" is likely Greenough) see T-Wharf Story marr. 3.? 30 June 1869 Sarah Jane HACKMAN in Newport by Rev. E.M. Saundera. (17) Sarah J. TERHUNE d. 1904 (Hantz county death index). 1871 Hants County Census has the following family living in St Croix surname TREHUNE Sarah b. abt 1833, Agusta b. abt 1862, Minnie b. abt 1859, Thadius b. abt 1868 and one stray, Smith b. 1867 who was living with his g.father Joseph BROWN. 1981 census has the following household: Daniel ae 70, Hannah ae 67, Thaddus ae 44, Sarah ae 54, Adelis ae 20, Mary ae18, Smitt ae 14, Frace Lynch widow ae 72, Mimie Heckman ae 21 -Sophia Terhune (b. Aug 4 1841 d. Sept 13, 1910) marr 19 Nov 1863 Allen McLellan PARKER (b. 1838 d. May 9 1893) son of Allen and Elizabeth PARKER. Both buried Parker Family Cemetery. ref (22) has the same dates but just Allan McLellan mar 19 Nov 1863 Newport, NS by rev. Wm. Smithson 6 McLellan children: Georgiana (b. Dec 5 1863), Austin (b. Jan28 1866), James Henry (b. Jun13 1871), Thomas Atwood (b. Jun 14 1874), Jessie Nora (b. Jun 14 1874), Everett Newton (b. Jun 19, 1881). -Harriet TERHUNE age 27 in 1881 b.ca 1854. Harriet, William and Florence were living with Daniel and Hannah in 1881. -William TERHUNE age 24 in 1881 b. ca 1857 -Florence TERHUNE age 12 in 1871 and 23 in 1881 b. ca 1859  -Daniel Terhune Jr. I have only one ref (2.) to Daniel Jr. but it seems resonable that he would be this Daniel's son.  ii. Sarah TERHUNE (b 1814) mar in 1834 John SALTER (b.1800- d.Feb 2 1888) Scotch Villae, Hants NS son of John SALTER (Mar 6, 1770-Feb 2 1858) and Mary SMITH. John's parents Robert SALTER (b. Aug 17 1730 Cork Ireland-d. Aug 16 1810 Nova Scotia) mar abt. 1760 Margaret MOXLEY (b. Nov 10, 1737-d. Jan 2, 1820 in NS).. 11 children (ref. 23) -Elizabeth SALTER (b. 1835-) mar Isaac BROWN -Mary Sophia SALTER (b. 1837-) mar. 2nd cousin Ezra SALTER It looks like Mary Sophia was named after her parent's mothers.
