American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate (AKBJK) is a system of martial arts that is dedicated to teaching a student to defend themselves by ending the confrontation. Unlike other systems of martial arts American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate does not teach forms, stretching, stance work or any exercises designed to get a person into shape. Students are trained to throw lethal techniques at vital areas to end the confrontation as quickly as possible. The system is open to all adults over the age of sixteen due to the subject matter being discussed.
The system has elements of Kenpo, Aikijutsu, Jujitsu, Western Boxing, Grappling, Kali and Ground fighting. We teach the use of the following weapons: Single/Double Stick (long, 2'), Single/Double Knife, 3-Section Staff, Japanese Long Sword, Bo.
All martial arts have the potential to be deadly. They each contain techniques which may cause serious injury or death. A diligent student of any art has the ability to defend themselves to varying degrees. Considering the fact that it takes 10-13 months to created an "automated response", the teaching of forms, blocks and stances are counter productive to the ends of self defense. In a street confrontation you may only get one chance. If that chance is wasted on a block or getting into a good stance it could cost you your life.
Separation of "tournament" techniques and "Self defense" techniques seems simple in the class room but a catastrophic mistake when creating an automated response. When an attack comes the defender will have the greatest chance of survival if he/she responds immediately with a strike that ends the situation. If that response is a strike to get a point at a tournament then it may cost you your life. Even if the strike scores, it is not finishing and the confrontation continues, placing you at repeated risk.
American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate does not have the problem of separation of uses of it's teaching. We only teach self defense. We believe that self defense is 90% mental and 10% physical. We must always keep the mindset of self defense to be effective. American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate only has three uses; protection of yourself, your family or your country. American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate trains to throw leathal strikes to vital areas and stop the threat as quickly as possible. It is not a game. There are no trophies. This single minded attitude toward self preservation give the student the best chance of survival. There is no room for "traditional" techniques that do not work for self defense.
American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate practitioners are known as "TUITE". Meaning a kenpo practitioner that uses Dim-Mak pressure point strikes to accomplish his task. American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate maintains a wide use of Dim-Mak pressure point strikes. We teach all four ranges; kicking, hand strikes, elbow strikes and throw/ground fighting.
American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu Karate trains students to attack with the most lethal techniques and keep attacking until the threat is destroyed. We do not back up and we do not believe in controlled attacks. We are known as the ear, eyes, nose and throat doctors of the martial arts. We are also known for rapid hand movement and violent overkill.
American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu is an adult oriented self-defense. Young adults under the Age of 16 will not be able to train. A student will be accepted for training after an acceptable interview. If you are an adult and are serious about self-defense, then this is the place to be! We are currently holding classes on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. The fee is $50.00 per month.
Many people purchase insurance for their house, car and health. Consider this insurance for your life. The decision to train American Kenpo Bu-Jutsu could save your life.
