I love my palm PDA device. It is a Sony Clie and it has everything I need to organize my life. I started programming it using the Palm OS language. I used Plua language, and I used OnBoard C, which is very nice. Here is the AnovaMe application (right) that I wrote using OnBoard C. I was studying statistics at the time to get my green belt six sigma certification from Motorola, so while studying I was programming what I learned on my palm device. The result is this nifty little application that can do all the basic statistical calculations. I wanted to do much more than that but I was restricted with memory limitations, so I gave up on the more complex stuff after my ambition dwindled.
Actually the very first Palm application I wrote was the MortgageCalc (left), which calculates the mortgage payments for any loan, and it displays the amortization schedule as well. In addition, it allows you to explore how prepayments shorten the term of the mortgage and what savings can be achieved. I posted this application on palmgear.com, as well as palmboulevard.com, freewarepalm.com and tucows.com. It is becoming very popular. You can download it for free from any of those sites.
