Starting early, I took half a roll of yellow ribbon on my first loop and tied pieces on bushes at the main turns and junctions. Slow lap.  I would have thought I would be much faster on the 2nd loop but alas, only 2 minutes. Big whoop.  But, on the bright side of things, it started warming up fast.  Boy, oh, boy.  The weather could not have been kinder.  Sunny and mid 40's.  Perfect for running. Last year at this run, the day was filled with hail, snow, and rain.  Everyone split like a rabbit after it was over and some cut short their runs.
I was just pleased as punch to have so many show up for a little R & R before Thanksgiving dinners were eaten.
We even had a crate of Gatorade to drink on our loops, thanks to Bert.   Dale and Shauna Heisler and Tony DeArcos were kind enough to put in some extra mileage at the end of the 20 K and take down all the yellow ribbons I had stuck up.  Thanks for that helping hand.
Sean had a strong, fast run on this course and even ran a negative split for the second two laps.  He was over an hour ahead of me for the same distance.  Dale H. and John B. traded places from last year with Dale kicking it in on the last loop.  Tony PR'd, I believe.  Shauna did not get lost this year and finished 7 minutes faster than last year.  Bert and Liza, new comers to the run, had a good time and ran strong the whole day.  Liza escorted her two dogs around the course and they looked like they were having the time of their lives.  Thanks to Grizz, Many Dots, and the McFarlands for coming up to put some laps.  Grizz was saving himself for a Saturday run on the Bonneville Shoreline trail starting in City Creek Canyon.
Thanks to all the participants this year.  It was fun basking in the sun and dancing on the trails one more time.
