The Angry Minute 1-26-01

Isn't it just a little disconcerting to hear the new President of the United States express an importance in constructing a more Unified country-THEN decide to deny federal aid to overseas groups that provide abortion counseling? Yeh, we wouldn't wanna counsel anybody in such a time of destitute.
We're not talking about HOW counseling anybody on anything can be considered dangerous or a waste of money, but rather WHY such a self proclaimed supporter of Unification of the Country would on his very first day light a match to one the nations most divisive and emotionally explosive issues available.
Hmm, his very first day; 28th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade; abortion-doesn't sound calculated at all…
This Angry Minute has nothing to do with HOW a man who has signed the death warrant of more people than any other governor in the country can preach of the value of life.
This Angry Minute has nothing to do with HOW a group of political charlatans can TELL ME OR ANYBODY ELSE what to do with their bodies-it has to do with a big fat liar in the white house, AGAIN. See Read My Lips. No, this is about Proclamation Unification and this new President has about as much unification as a Hun on Halloween.
I don't believe in Abortion either-but that's ME. So keep your opinions and your laws off the human body at least until your new carpet comes in.
Unification? How about marrying the philosophies of a country that was exactly SPLIT over issues that never really quite determined who the country thought should be President..
No one on this earth should decide who should die and who should live, but the best thing we've got right now is civility which unfortunately seems to waver in and out of delirium everytime a new President gets a nickel bag full of power.
You know, a week of inactivity goes a lot further than a day full of Alienation, and Minute full of Anger.
