How did such a lampoon of a holiday slip through the PC cracks of society anyway? I mean, it's not like a great man roamed the earth resuscitating imperiled lives with his alcoholism?? He didn't even discover a planet for the cry-eye? Every year, the numbers of drunk driving deaths boggle the mind, only to get belittled by a day of infamy known only as St Patrick's Day. Why? Who was this great Patrick, and why do we celebrate him with alcohol?
I mean, we don't celebrate haille Selassie by doing bongs at a chapel-and he's a saint?? Oh that's right, pot's illegal…
On a day when 70 billion people get drunk for no reason other than the title of a day, it seems to me something's amiss in a society that touts 3 workplace shootings in one week, a 12 year old sentenced to life without parole, and a man who dismembers his wife delivering her body parts over three states… yeh Happy St Patricks Day…
