  • Always blot spills, never rub in.  try cool water on a towel to blot-out spill.

  • Have carpets cleaned every 6 to 10 months.

  • When carpets are cleaned frequently, they last longer, saves you money in the long run.

  • Low traffic if possible until thoroughly dry
  •  Use only professional spotting treatments as directed.

Pet Urine Information

Urine discharged from animals is on the acid side. When dry, the residue turns to alkaline due to the salts found in the urine. The salt in the urine pulls moisture from the air and re-liquefies the urine. This is why the urine odor smells worse on more humid days. Due to the different levels of nitrogen in pet urine

some pet urine will permanently stain carpets.

If you have any questions or problems please contact us, your professional carpet cleaning company and we will be more than happy to help.

Treated odors will get worse before they get better

Using a black light, affected areas can be more easily located. At this point treating the carpet, both before and after cleaning, with an acid side rinse is necessary to break up urine residue. Then we recreate penetration with the proper deodorizer. During this time the smell of the urine may return and, in some cases, even be worse. This is because the treatment will first break up the urine causing more of it to be exposed. This is the general procedure for treating pet urine if odor persists beyond a week, then another procedure will be necessary.
