Some sandpaintings...
PLEASE NOTE:
The original sandpaintings depicted here are quite large, ranging up to 4 ft. X 4 ft. in size, and the original graphic files in high color/resolution run to over 30 Megabytes. The pictures presented here have been reduced in resolution and color depth in the interests of server side file storage and speed of loading, but they still might take some time to load. Please be patient. Each painting is also accompanied by a short statement (or "Legend") describing what certain features represent. The descriptions do not describe all of the symbology involved, but just a few salient points. These were written and attached to each work by the artist. Some sections also include extra observations which are not by the artist. These are appended following his notes.
