The poster recalls the romance of America’s “Lost Highways”.  It’s a beautiful, full-color 22.5”X28” poster on smooth 80# stock.  It depicts 48 major Named Auto Trails in existence prior to the implementation of the U.S. Numbered Highway System, which occurred in 1926.

The “Lost Highways” poster is comprised of a Period Map, 22" across by 14" tall of the continental United States with the routes of the Named Transcontinental Auto Trails indicated in red.  This map was digitally reconstructed from an antique atlas with the permission of the original copyright holder.  Below the map is an array of 48 full-color pole marker signs corresponding to the historic auto trails shown on the map.
