PERSONAL TESTAMONY: Gwyn MacArthur
I have been a Christian all of my life. I believe that Jesus Christ came to save us and he shed his blood and died on a cross to forgive our sins, was resurrected, and gave us the power of his Holy Spirit at the Pentecost (Acts 2:1). I also believe the Holy Spirit actively seeks to work in people’s lives, even today.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa, and raised Missouri Synod Lutheran, I participated in all of the regular church activities such as Vacation Bible School, youth group, Sunday school and Confirmation. It was in Sunday school and more so Confirmation, that I was introduced to prophecy.
I married my High School sweetheart, Barrie, and after college, we moved to Phoenix, Arizona to work and raise a family. We have a wonderful daughter and a grandson by our son and his precious wife! The owner of a small business and manager of this ministry, I also have a degree in Human Services and am an advocate of continuing education.
The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me for as long as I can remember. Even as a child I clearly heard the Holy Spirit, and thought everyone else could too. During my High School years, one particular night, the presence of the Holy Spirit was very strong and he told me, "I will always take care of you." I remember being unable to move and being filled with indescribable feelings of joy, peace and awe. It was at this time, I realized I had a gifting that needed to be shared with others. Throughout my twenties, I continued to learn about my Holy Spirit given gift of prophecy and, hearing the Holy Spirit more strongly everyday, shared the messages I was given with others.
Today, as the reach of this prophetic ministry touches lives internationally, I will keep my promise to follow Jesus, listen to the Holy Spirit and bring God’s words to His people.
