What we believe:
Although we are considered part of the house church movement, we absolutely affirm not only God’s house church movement but also His ministry in the institutional church and many independent ministries that are in operation at this time in history. God historically has used his people for his glory and continues to do so today no matter what Christian fellowship they attend. Our service is usually facilitated by ordained clergy however, it is not unusual for special guests to speak or share musically. Those with known gifting from the Holy Spirit are many times asked to minister to others during or after the service. Because we meet only one time per month, most of our regular attendees are members of other church fellowships.
The overall mission of Open House Fellowship is "to carry out the ministry of Christ Jesus as prophetically given, enabled, and empowered by His Holy Spirit." Theologically, the best way to communicate what we believe is in the words of the Apostle’s Creed...
We believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.Amen.
