| Welcome to
the homepage of Greenwood Lodge no. 253. We are a lodge in District Four
the Grand Jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted
Masons of Washington. We are located in the north Seattle neighborhood
of Greenwood.
Greenwood Lodge is an active member
of the community. We participate in many local charitable and community
activities. Along with other District Four lodges, we grant scholarships
to promising high school seniors. Every summer we participate in the Greenwood
community parade by contributing a float -- and frequently winning the
float competition.
Greenwood Lodge was chartered in 1923
by the Grand Lodge of Washington as the 253rd lodge within the jurisdiction
of the grand lodge. The following year the members of Greenwood Lodge laid
the cornerstone of their lodge building at 7910 Greenwood Ave. N. On December
1, 2000, the members of Northern Light/Ravenna Lodge no. 279 joined Greenwood
Lodge to form a single consolodated lodge.
The Greenwood lodge building is a popular
rental venue used for weddings, receptions, evening classes, and community
