Tanela's Pack

This backpack is made of a vinyl material, easy to wipe off, has a large pocket for the pump (first big hump closest to her body), another smaller pocket for whatever,
and a small pocket for whatever. Tanela has put stickers in it from her hospital visits, and many other things come up to stuff into a little pocket out of the way. On
the face of the backpack there are happy face 'planets' with Saturn rings around them, stars with happy faces and without, moons and twinkling
stars -- Tanela named this one Spacey! She has another very similar with lots of different happy faces on it that she calls Happy. The backpack has
webbed nylon adjustable straps with a hanging hook. I believe I got both Spacey and Happy at K-Mart on sale for about $8 each. Backpacks like
these keep her Flolan pump completely out of her way. She doesn't have to worry about picking it up and carrying, etc. I feed her line up out of her
shirts and down to the zippers as tightly as possible. Sometimes, she tucks the lines under her arms and into the zippers. The zippers do not hurt the
extension lines. The kids at school have learned to respect her backpacks and leave them alone, as we introduce her special situation on the first day
of each school year, so most of the kids are growing with the situation...just like she is. When riding in the car seat we pull out line
and buckle the backpack into the center seat belt as well as buckling her in. As I said before, there are many, many types of backpacks out there --
we have several animal shaped ones even -- a leopard, a bear, a tiger, a Dalmatian...
