According to [Nicholson],
the symbols on the Hudson logo are not from any existing arms. The central triangular shape does not seem
to have any significance, but the two ships are meant to “symbolize the
adventurous spirit of bold and imaginative engineers” and the two castles in
chief represent “strength and integrity.”
[Wendel] indicates that this logo
was first used in October 1945, although there was a logo using some of the
same elements before the war.
One
other heraldic badge on some of the final Hudson vehicles was the emblem of the
Farina (later Pininfarina) Italian design firm located on the roof post.
