Guyfest is a tradition that started in 1994 by Craig Armstrong, Steve Jain,
Jeremy Jensen, Mike Kimball, Dave Mattern, and Dave Roufs. At that time we
had hit our mid-twenties and a turning point in all of our lives. Apartments
turned to homes, girlfriends turned into wives, motorcycles turned to
minivans, paychecks turned from beer money to diaper money, and endless
evenings spent with friends turned into time spent with family. Don't get me
wrong, these things aren't bad . . . . they are reality. Guyfest is about
taking back some of those moments from the past. Its about meeting new
friends. It's about not worrying about what time you get home. It's about
forgetting the yard work and the trash duty. It's about sleeping in with no
interruptions. It's about eating red meat 3 times a day. It's about cracking
just one more beer before bed. Guyfest is the female equivalent to a day of
shopping and finding the perfect shoes on sale followed by a candle party
with friends while eating cheese cake, and ending the evening with a bubble
bath to classical music.
Whether you know it or not . . . you need Guyfest. This is why Guyfest
exists and will continue to for you years and years to come.
