FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions. The questions below are things we get asked several times a week.

Do you do international shipments?Yes, as long as there aren't any import/export restrictions on the equipment to your country. You're paying the shipping, so we will send it anywhere you want.

Why don't you have an 800 number?Because we have a small staff and there is not always someone in the shop - Jeff doesn't want to pay someone to just answer phone calls. Also when we did have a phone # available, most of the calls were people who wanted tech support for items they did NOT purchase from us.

Is there a quantity break on prices?Yes, we are willing to give price breaks on larger orders. Ask if you qualify.

Why don't you sell monitors?Monitors end up costing more to ship than they are worth in most cases. The larger 19 and 20 inch monitors also break easier. (the neck - yoke part of the CRT will snap sometimes if it is dropped.)

Why do you use a middle man like PayPal for credit card transactions? It protects you, and us, from fraud. We will NEVER ask you for a credit card number, and don't send us any in e-mail. If Anyone ever claims they work for us and asks you for your credit card number, contact the proper authorities and us right away.

Do you take purchase orders? No, we stopped taking purchase orders due to the amount of time it takes schools and larger corporations to pay them. (Not a single PO was paid on time while we were accepting them)

Why are some of the pages empty on your site?Because we are not done yet, the Junkyard is in a constant state of change.

Why do you use the Post Office Instead of UPS?From our experiances with shipping for the Junkyard and auction shipments, the Post Office provides better service. We have had UPS shipments get stolen and damaged. When damaged, it has taken a long time to get reimbursed. With the Post Office we have NEVER had a lost or damaged shipment except for a loose cable in one computer we sent recently.

Why do you do e-mail orders instead of setting up an automated order process?A couple reasons. First, most items are limited stock. The time involved in setting up those items and then removing them would cause us to raise prices. Second, we prefer a personal touch, it is easier to make sure you get the right things if we are communicating via email.

Why is this Web Site so Plain? (this question is usually with an offer to make our page better for a fee)We sell a lot of older parts to people that actually use the older computers on a daily basis. Those older computers usually run older web browsers, so we try and keep the pages short and sweet.

Do you give Trade-in on old equipment? On some things, yes. If it is something we have a lot of, or don't think we can re-sell, of course not.

You don't have the part I need, can you get it for me?Sometimes we can. We are running a "Wish List" now. We run new stock item through the database; if you are in there, we send you an email and give you 3 business days to respond before we put it up for sale.

Do you give donations to non-profit groups/Schools?No, we are a small business and do not have the resources to do "give aways". If you are with a non-profit group or school, we suggest you contact larger companies that have the resources to do the "give aways".
