The basic d20 system has no allowance for the flaws found in ArM. Some other
d20 game worlds and settings have created alternate rules for these. Take a look
at some of the ideas they have used.
Ideas and options:
 | Use character points to
handle feats/flaws |
 | Variable skill
points per flaw, based on severity. May want to allow giving up a feat
for more skill points (10 points/feat?). Using this approach, a -1 flaw would equal 10 points (since a +1 virtue
has been equated to a feat with no prerequisites). |
 | Version
1.1 of the Net Book of
Feats discusses "Hindrances" that have a point value (1:1
with skills points), and a 10:1 trade-in for these points to feats. |
 | Living Deadlands
support hindrances. Taking one, you may: a) make any two skills class
skills, b) two more points to buy attributes, or c) one feat. |
 | The
Villain Design Handbook contains something called anti-feats. |
At some point I may try my hand at converting the ArM feats to d20 using one
of these ideas.
