Introduction

Silhouette is a set of rules published by Dream Pod 9. Currently, the Silhouette Engine is used for two of Dream Pod 9's published games, Heavy Gear (HG) and Jovian Chronicles (JC).

This document is intended to provide

a clearinghouse for information on the Silhouette Engine,
some new rules ideas integrated into the system,
comparative information.

What this document is not: it is not an attempt to breech the copyrights of Dream Pod 9. I have tried to be careful to avoid describing complete rules or other features of the Silhoette system that would damage Dream Pod 9's business potential.
