I was born and raised in Chicago, IL on September 26th. I am my father's sixth child and my mothers second. I have a VERY large family and extended family. The family tree below lists my immediate family. I didn't have room to include everyone. My father is from Ghana he comes from the Akan people who are part of the Ashanti tribe. Below the family tree are Ghanaian Adinkra symbols that represent one of the many facets of Ghanaian culture.
Ghanaian Adinkra Symbols The adinkra symbols represent popular proverbs and maxims, record historical events, express particular attitudes or behavior related to depicted figures, or concepts uniquely related to abstract shapes. Adinkra symbols are found on cloths, furniture and buildings throughout Ghana.
