Exercise Resources for Wheelchair Users

Lisa Ericson, a paraplegic ex-ice-skating professional, devised a system of training called SMART (Seated Movement Aerobic & Resistive Training) Fitness, a scientifically designed system using elements of activity similar to those offered by physiotherapeutic PNF, Laban, Feldenkrais, martial arts, plyometrics, Russian loadless training, aerobic dance and Tai Chi. She has presented her work regularly at IDEA, NSCA and other international conferences, as well as on TV in the USA, Canada and Africa.
