MatchBook Products LLC. (www.matchbookdrive.com) today lowered the price for their MD-001 MatchBookDrive™ Adapter. The current price is $25, including free shipping to US addresses, and $5 shipping to international addresses.

The MatchBookDrive™ Adapter is a passive adapter that fits into the Springboard slot of a Visor™ and allows files to be copied from the RAM (random access memory) of the Visor™ to a CompactFlash™ card for storage. When the file is needed, it can be copied back into RAM in just a few seconds. MatchBook Products LLC. began shipping the MatchBookDrive™ Adapter on February 15. The MatchBookDrive™ Adapter was the world’s first commercially-available Springboard™ to CompactFlash™ adapter.

The MatchBookDrive™ Adapter relies on the FAFileMover software sold by Kopsis, Inc. ($10, www.kopsisengineering.com).

MatchBook Products also announced that they expect to bundle the Kopsis FAFileMover software and another software application with their next product, the MD-100 adapter. The MD-100 will be a flush removable adapter. The MD-100 is expected to ship March 24.

"Our software bundle will have a retail value of $30," said Keith Hudson, manager of MatchBook Products LLC. "At a $45 retail price, we think the MD-100 will offer a very good value to customers."
