This project includes the elements of park and recreation
planning with the public involvement procedures. We had the public workshops prior
to develop any specific program, and integrate the ideas into the conceptual
design stage and lead into the preliminary plan. We recently completed 30%
Submittal that includes the design development of urban and landscape with
the programs. We provided the CADD formed drawing for the entire street
within our project boundary and R.O.W. |

Kobayashi and Associates, Inc. is
a member of the five firm team lead by Tonkin/Hoyne/Lokan to design the
redevelopment of the Rainier Vista Seattle Housing Authority Housing. Our firm
leads landscape architecture service to the team. To date, we have completed
the site analysis and have presented it to the design review. We have
prepared comments on Streets, housing layout and Open Space of the project.
Currently, we are participating in an examination of a possible rezone issue
of portions of the site. We have contributed to the team in interfacing the
project with the Sound Transit Light Rail project. We have participated in
two workshops for the project as designers. The first one was held in
February, where we presented the scope of work and a comparison identified
existing conditions and gathered concerns and issues from the residents. The
second workshop was in March and focussed on design: we presented prototypes
types of housing and landscape development. |
