This year we took our first (but not last) trip to Hawaii. We were there for about two weeks, and spent one week on Maui, and the second week on the big island of Hawaii. We also spent lots of time snorkeling (which is amazing for me since I'm scared to death of water). I will soon get some snorkeling pictures scanned in and put here.
We went with our good friends, Laurie and Jerry. They have been there several times before, so they were our tour guides. Here we are arriving at the airport:
Our "bible" for this trip was the Doughty/Friedman books "Maui Revealed" and "Hawaii The Big Island Revealed." These guide books come highly recommended as they are right on the money, much better than any guide book I've seen for anywhere. I usually refer to these as the "Blue Book."
