Here's some pictures of the first phase of my PVC Instruments.

Much thanks to all of the folks on the Blue Man Group Message Board for their help, especially feagle814.  His web page http://pvc.natetrue.com/  is full of lots of information on making PVC instruments.

I still have quite a bit of work to do on it, but I'm really happy how it is turning out.

Here's the instrument from the listeners end.  It is currently one octave chromatic from middle C down.  Some bracing is obviously needed on the top supports.

Here's the view from the players end.  The chromatic setup shows better in this picture.  Also, I raised the top level of the sharp tubes by about 3 inches.

The side view of the instrument.  I used angle aluminum for the legs.  They work pretty good, but I need to do some leveling.

This slightly out of focus view from the top shows the split level, also the paddles I'm using.  They are a foam sanding block I got from Home Depot with the sand paper stripped off of the playing side,

Finally, here's some really weird looking alien pretending to be playing the instrument.  I don't know who let him in the workshop.

I finally completed both octaves of the instrument, got it tuned and the pipes glued.  The only thing left to do is to paint it.  Here's a front view of the instrument, ready for our Christmas Party, complete with the strung Captain Crunch.

Here's a side view of the instrument (with the Captain Crunch removed)

Finally, here's a close up of the low octave section.

Next on the list is the Backpack instrument.  Hopefully by this summer.

Thanks to everyone on the Blueman message board for their help and advice.
