"And that having the eyes of your heart full of light, you may have knowledge of what is the hope of his purpose, what is the wealth of the glory of his heritage in the saints." (Ephesians 1:18 BBE)

GivingPlus

The Lutheran Braille Evangelism Association (LBEA) has been enrolled in the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans GivingPlus program and now qualifies to receive additional funds from Thrivent when Thrivent members (i.e. persons owning Thrivent policies or products) make contributions to LBEA and fill out the GivingPlus form. Thrivent Financial members can give gifts to two enrolled Lutheran organizations of their choice each year. Gifts of up to $600 will be supplemented with $1 for every $2 given, up to a maximum supplement of $300 per organization per year.

This means, for example, that your gift of $100 to LBEA would be supplemented with a $50 amount from the Thrivent GivingPlus funds with the result that LBEA receives a total of $150 from your initial gift to "Help The Sightless See The Savior." During a calendar year an individual can designate up to $600 of gifts to LBEA as "GivingPlus" contributions which will increase the amount of that annual gift to $900.

The Thrivent GivingPlus program offers a great opportunity for supporters of the Lutheran Braille Evangelism Association to stretch and increase the effect of their dollars given for the work of this ministry to the blind and visually impaired. "GivingPlus" forms are available from LBEA or from a Thrivent Financial for Lutherans representative. For more information on how to make a "GivingPlus" donation to LBEA call (651) 426-0469.
