            Welcome to Laoch Cieltach,
a Dark Age of Camelot  players’ guild based in the magical             lands of Hibernia, on the role-playing server Percival. Based on friendship and the common goal of defending Hibernia from her enemies, Laoch Cieltach is a role-playing guild.

As such, we use ancient forms of Celtic titles of rank for our members. Laoch Cieltach is not a democracy and more closely resembles a Celtic feudal monarchy or a clan of noble warriors, like the Niadh Nask of Celtic mythology.

To encourage the roleplaying aspect, Senior Members and above may also choose to form their own Family "clan". Any member may choose to join an existing clan, but may not change clans. A member's loyalty therefore will not only be to the higher nobility of the guild and to their guild brother/sisters, but also to his/her clan. A clan leader may also have "family" that are not part of the guild proper.

Special Titles may be given by the Ard-Ri as a sign of favor or whim, these are NOT official titles and are for purely for fun and/or recognition of outstanding act.

The official ranks are as follows:

• The monarch of Laoch Cieltach is the

Guild Leader (Ard-Ri), the highest ranking member.
The position is hereditary (i.e. ... the Ard-Ri appoints the heir of her/his choice). The Ard-Ri is the absolute ruler of the guild and the final arbitrator of all laws.

• Under the Ard-Ri is the Royal Council which consist of:

 The First Officer (Ri),
    The Lord Field Marshals (Ard-Ridire),
    The Royal Advisors (Ard-Ollamh),
    The Royal Officers (Ollamh).

These positions are the equivalent of ancient forms of Celtic royal
Rank awarded for deeds, actions, and ability. These are not hereditary, But rather positions awarded by the Ard-Ri.

• Following in Rank are the Higher Nobility of the guild who make up the Officers Council:
  The Senior Officers (Ard-Tiarna),
  The Junior Officers (Tiarna)

These are also position awarded based on merit.

Next are the lesser nobles, or Members, which make up
the majority of the guild:
   Senior Members (Ridire)
   Junior Members (Niadh)
