The Postal Employees' Relief Fund (PERF) is a tax-exempt charitable organization established to provide relief assistance to qualified postal employees who are victims of major natural disasters when such losses are not reimbursed by insurance or grants.

Thank you for your interest in the National Postal Mail Handlers Union.  If you haven't already done so, we invite you to take a moment to register for the MegaVote service on the NPMHU online Legislative Center.  It only takes a second to register, and you then will receive periodic 3-mails (when Congress is in session) that will provide:

  • A breakdown of Key votes by your two Senators and U.S. Representative.  We'll let you know how your Members of Congress voted on the important issues.
  • Easy links to send e-mail to your members of Congress using pre-addressed forms.  If they voted the right way on an issue, you can then thank them for their support.  If the voted the wrong way, you can then politely tell them that your views differ on the matter, and ask them to support your views the next time the issue is being considered in the Congress.
  • Advance notice of upcoming votes for your review, and links to offer e-mail input before the vote takes place.  Here is your chance to easily and efficiently tell your elected Senators and Representatives how you feel about an issue - before they cast their votes.

Dear Working Families e-Activist:

You're fantastic! Two days ago, we set a goal of collecting 100,000 signatures this week on the petition opposing President Bush's overtime pay take-away. Already, more than 80,000 of you have signed the petition online, so we're increasing our goal to 150,000.

We CAN win protection for overtime pay and good jobs if your voice is amplified by the voices of millions of other Americans.  So today we're asking you to bring more people into the fight to protect overtime pay.

What a great start to our Overtime Pay National Week of Action Dec. 1-5! As promised, today we're providing you a special leaflet-petition so you can collect signatures in your workplace and your community. President Bush has been getting away with his attack on our paychecks because millions of working people just don't know about it-and you can change that now. Your personal goal is to fill-up at least two petition sheets this week--that is only 30 people--but the more people you get, the better we'll do.
