All about aromatherapy!

Aromatherapy has been used for medicinal purposes for many centuries all over the world, and for good reason. Our modern science has only recently proven that the oils of plants actually do have healing properties - a fact that the ancients knew long before us. Unlike modern perfumes which contain fake, unnatural chemicals, aromatherapy is 100% natural, and leaves no toxins behind. Modern perfumes only imitate these natural substances.

The following is a list of the most often used aromatherapy oils and their medicinal properties.

Lavender - Lavender is used as an antidepressant or mood tonic, a sedative, and it stimulates your immune system. It contributes to the healing process by stimulating the cells.

Peppermint - Pepperment has many health promoting properties. It helps your respiratory system, circulation, and also is an anti-inflammatory agent.

Chamomile - Chamomile is good for sprains and strains, or if you are nervous or depressed. Helps you relax and calm down. Unfortunately however, it is related to ragweed, so it's not reccommended if you suffer from allergies.
