At your locally owned bank, we value each and every customer relationship.  Customers such as you have entrusted us not only with their finances, but also with their personal information.  To protect and maintain this relationship, we've enacted this policy to maintain the confidentiality of the information you've shared with us.

This is our pledge:

1.  We recognize your expectations for the responsible use and protection of our information to privacy.
At MontroseBank, SurfaceCreekBank and DeltaBankCenter, we recognize that you have a right to expect your personal financial information to remain private and secure at all times, and we will provide you with information on how your information is used, protected and with the benefits such use provides to you.

2. How we use, collect and retain information about you.
Your relationship is important to us and we're committed to providing you with the best service possible.  To do that, we gather information from a variety of sources to keep you informed about the many financial services, products, and benefits available to you as a bank customer and to provide you the ability to manage your finances most effectively.  For example, we collect information from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;

  • Information about your transactions with us or others; and

  • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.

If you end your customer relationship with us or become an inactive customer, we will treat the information we have about you as if you were still our customer.  

3. Preserving your trust in one of our core values.
At your bank, employee access to your personal information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information.  Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on this Privacy Policy.  We educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures and special training programs.  Because of the importance of these issues, all bank employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and employees who violate this Privacy Policy will be subject to disciplinary action.

4. We will not share your medical information.
At your locally owned bank, we recognize that when your provide personal medical information to us, we will not disclose that information unless you authorize such disclosure.

5. Responsible use of information provides customer benefits.  
The information we collect provides significant benefits to you, our customers.  This information:

  •  Enables us to better understand your financial needs:

  • Assists us as we improve products and enhance customer service,

  • Allows us to comply with laws and regulations; and

  • Helps us protect you against fraud.    

6. We will maintain accurate information about you.
MontroseBank, SurfaceCreekBank and DeltaBankCenter have established procedures to ensure that your information is accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable commercial standards.
  If you believe that any information collected or furnished by us is inaccurate, please call us at 970-249-3408.  We will investigate the problem and take appropriate action in a timely manner.

7.  We will maintain a security program to protect your information.
We will maintain a security program-which includes physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with federal regulations-to prevent unauthorized access to your personal information.

8.  Restrictions on disclosing your information to outsiders.
We pledge not to reveal specific information about your accounts, or other information that will personally identify you, those outside the MontroseBank, SurfaceCreekBank and DeltaBankCenter organization for their independent use, unless:

  • The information is necessary to effect, administer or enforce a transaction you requested;

  • You requested or authorize that the information be revealed;

  • We have informed you that this information may be disclosed and have given you an opportunity to decline.

We will not provide your account number to anyone outside our bank and branches for marketing purposes.  We will not sell personal information to a third party for the purpose of solicitation or for its own independent use.

9.  We will maintain your privacy in business relationships with third parties.
If we do provide customer information to a third part, we will insist through a written agreement that the third party adhere to privacy principals similar to those which MontroseBank, SurfaceCreekBank and DeltaBankCenter adheres for keeping this information confidential.
