Hi Kathy

Birds are doing fine. We now have the female cordon blue eating meal worms
out of our hands. It takes awhile, but she finally jumps on and grabs it.

Can you please tell me where you buy your black netting that you use for
your designer indoor flights? What is this netting called? If you could
get right back to me on that I would appreciate it as I am having a friend
build me some flights. Can it be used outside as well. ie does it withstand
weather or will it rot or dissolve with rain etc.?

Again, thanks to both you and your mom for everything!

Stan

We are home. Made it through security without problem. Your Gouldians and
female cordon blue have adjusted great to aviary and are taking baths,
eating millet and seed and having a big time. Male cordon blue is just
sitting high up in aviary wathcing everyone. Perhaps it just takes him a
bit longer to get acclimated. If he doesn't eat or drink soon I will take
him and isolate him and give hiim his own food and water.

Will keep you advised. Thanks for everything. Hello to Mike and to your
parents.

Stan

Stan purchased birds from me and
took them on the Southwest
Airlines. They do not allow pets
on Southwest so this was quite a
challenge. This is his response to
having made it home!- Kathy Miller
Stan wanted handraised cordon bleus so bad that he sayed a day longer to get them
from my parents who were away on vacation at the time. Kathy
The netting is fruit netting used to keep wild
bird off of fruit trees. It can be purchased
at Home Depot. Watch for a closer
spacing which works better. I recommend
it for indoor use. Mice can eat holes in it

Hi
I saw your email on the website. I currently own an African Grey
and have, for several years, been thinking about having a smaller
"big personality" bird. Of the smaller parrots, conures, senegals
and that size bird, which ones have a outgoing bratty personality?!
And then....where would be the best place to find the bird.

Thanks much
Natasha

The Arizona Daily Star reported today that Cascarones, the Mexican
Easter egg party favors, have been linked with Exotic Newcastle's Disease.
(An extremely contagious bird disease that wipes out wild birds, poultry,
pet birds...)

They are illegal to bring into this country, but they will get in
anyway. Don't buy them!

They are the long cone shaped toy with a chicken egg on top, stuffed
with confetti, and are decorated like Easter eggs. Kids throw them and bonk
each other on the head with them at Easter for fun.

Unfortunately, they contain residue from live chickens in Mexico and
that means a possible vector for this disease. Just FYI. I shore ain't
getting NEAR them!!!
Eve.

This sounds scary!
