My mother's outside aviary has a
perfect location. She has a patio
that has entrances from three
different rooms in her house. She
enclosed half of the patio for the
birds. That gives her one entrance
to the none aviary part of the patio
and the back yard not enclosed.
Two glass sliding doors go into
the aviary, one from the living
room and one from a
bedroom/birdroom. Therefore, she
can view the birds from many
rooms.
A large waterfalls is the focal point
of the aviary. She uses fruit
netting to cover the deeper water,
so no babies can drown.
A tame finch comes to visit, while
in the outdoor aviary.

Outside view of aviary. She has
no outside entrance to the aviary.
This is an older pictures of the
birds in the aviary. We no longer
mix zebras with the other finches.
We had owl/zebra hybrids. The
zebras also prove to be disruptive
to other birds breeding.
